Lumin Library

Three Doors Up, Queen’s Arcade; Cardiff
Opening times: 12.30pm – 5.30pm, Wednesday to Saturday

Lumin Library is an installation, bringing a creative space into the city centre. The deinstitutionalised space is for anyone to use freely; read, work in or use as a meeting place. The borrowing system works on trust, and the majority of books in the library have been donated by Cardiff artists Beau Beakhouse, Tomos Morris, Kamila Krol and Sadia Pineda Hameed.
The library is always looking for more book donations. If you have any books that you are happy to temporarily lend out to others, then do bring them in with your initials written into the first page. Your books will be returned to you when the installation finishes.
The space is also available to be booked for one-off or regular meetings, creative happenings, poetry readings & exhibitions. Drop us an email at luminjournal@gmail.com for more info.

How the Lumin library card works:
Pick up a library card for a £1 suggested donation to take any and as many books out as you’d like
Leave your contact details and the name/s of the book/s borrowed in the log book – we’ll drop you a message after a few weeks just to check that you’ve still got them
No return dates – just bring them back when you’re finished and leave a note in the log book
